Classic rock legend U2 recently released U218 Singles, its third definitive “Best Of” CD, which features famous singles spanning a career 27 years in the making. With only two new songs on the album (featuring “The Saints are Coming,” a masterful remake of a Skids song featuring Green Day and the extremely radio friendly “Window in the Skies,”) U2 fans might want to sit this one out. Hardcore devotees might take interest in the special edition version: it contains a bonus DVD featuring footage from a Milan, Italy Vertigo Tour concert. U218 is clearly aimed at those unfamiliar with the amazing anthems, brilliant lyrics and riveting instrumentals of the Irish rockers. “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “With or Without You” and “Vertigo” are just a few of the notable singles featured.
