Despite two goals from senior forward Kenny Magowan, the Boston University hockey team lost its fourth game of the season Tuesday night, a 5-2 loss to Harvard University in front of 2,776 fans at the Bright Hockey Center.
The Terriers (3-4-3) pelted Harvard goalie Dov Grumet-Morris with 36 shots, but only two found the back of the net. Freshman defenseman Kevin Schaeffer tallied two assists on the night, with both BU goals coming in the first period. Harvard got offensive contributions from Tom Cavanagh, Tyler Kolarik, Kevin Du, Dennis Packard and Rob Flynn, each of whom tallied a goal. BU senior goalie Sean Fields notched 28 saves on the night.
BU will try to get back to .500 against unbeaten Dartmouth College Friday night at Walter Brown Arena. The Terriers end their three-game Ivy League set when Yale University comes to Boston Sunday night. Both games begin at 7 p.m.
