The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs Jan. 5 to Jan. 13.

A woman reported falling off her bike and hitting her head at 580 Commonwealth Ave. at 6:11 a.m. Jan 5. The woman was taken to Boston Medical Center.

SHOULDA MAJORED IN ENGLISH

BUPD responded to a fire alarm at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at 9:33 p.m. Jan. 6. The people in the building were working on an experiment that accidentally set off the alarm.

HOLE-LY HAZARDOUS

An officer reported a ‘massive pothole’ at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue at 4:07 a.m. Jan. 8. The officer said the pothole was ‘causing a public safety hazard.’

SLIP N’ SLIDE

BUPD responded to a report of a man who slipped on ice at 1 Silber Way and struck his head at 10:06 a.m. Jan. 8. The man was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

MOBILE MONEY

A caller at Shelton Hall reported she left her cell phone in a cab and the cab driver wanted $35 for returning it at 7:22 p.m. Jan 10.

I HEARD THAT

A caller reported jackhammering outside 124 Bay State Rd. at 2:07 a.m. Jan 12. BUPD called the gas company and confirmed that they were working on a leak.

QUESTIONING QUESTION 2

A Resident Assistant at 1019 Commonwealth Ave. reported she found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a room at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 12.

PLAYSTATION ZERO

A caller at Towers reported at 12:30 a.m. Jan 13 that he came back from winter break and his Playstation 3 was missing. The caller said he will check with his roommate first and then call back to file a report.

HOW LAWFUL

BUPD responded to a woman who fell down a flight of stairs at the School of Law at 1:14 p.m. Jan 13. The woman injured her ankle and was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

THAT’S NOT HOW YOU GET HER NUMBER

Security at 72 East Concord Street at 7:27 p.m. Jan. 13 reported a man who ‘exposed himself’ to a woman.

THE MIGHTY PUCKS

A caller reported a person injured by a hockey puck at Agganis Arena at 9:40 p.m. Jan. 13. The person was taken to BMC.
