BU men robbed at gunpoint

Police arrested four men suspected of robbing two other men at gunpoint on Gardner Street Monday night, Boston Police Department spokesman James Kinneally said.

According to a Jan. 22 Allston-Brighton TAB article, the men robbed were Boston’ University students.

The men were walking in the area of 90 Gardner St. at about 11 p.m. when a tan car pulled up next to them, Kinneally said.

‘One of these guys ran away, yelling for his friend to run as well,’ Kinneally said. ‘The victim said before he could run, he was surrounded by the four suspects.’

The alleged attackers went through the man’s pockets, one alleged attacker revealing a gun, according to the BPD blog.

BPD officers described the car on police radio and’ apprehended the men.

‘The suspects were brought to the scene, and the victims were able to properly identify them,’ Kinneally said.

The police charged the four men, Brandon Bacheldo, 19, and Tubin Sindor, 18, of Cambridge, Tory Howard, 25, of Boston, and a 16-year-old from Malden, with armed robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

BU Police Department Sgt. Jeff Burke said BUPD officers were also on scene.
