Crime logs: Jan. 23-24

The following reports were taken from the Boston Police Department crime logs from Jan. 23-24.

Officers called for escalated roommate dispute

Officers responded to a radio call for a threat report at 40 Ashford St. on Monday at 7:40 p.m. Upon arrival, the caller stated a recent verbal dispute with his roommate escalated into a fight. The caller also stated that the cause of the ongoing dispute was his roommate’s tendency to slam the bathroom door.

Live wires downed in Brighton

Officers responded to a radio call for downed power lines at 199 Kenrick St. on Monday at 9:06 p.m. A large tree had downed the wires, and many live wires were presenting a threat to pedestrian and automobile traffic. Units were called to remove the tree and fix the damaged wires.

Assault and battery reported outside Coogan’s

Officers responded to a radio call for assault and battery at 171 Milk St. on Tuesday at 2:00 a.m. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, who stated he was trying to break up a fight at Coogan’s when the bouncer punched him and threw him into a parked vehicle. The victim was treated at the scene and taken for further evaluation.
