I recently graduated from BU last year and i am appalled at the new information I have learned about the digusting excuse for a human being, John Silber. His decision to close the Academy’s Gay/Straight Alliance is just another way of imposing his immoral and white Republican views on an entire University. I was the Secretary for BU’s Women Center and we tried day after day to get money for a Rape Crisis Center. Not only would he not give us the money, he wouldn’t allow the center to exist on his campus. There is also rumors that his own son was gay and died of AIDS. A reliable source told me that when his son requested to come home to die, Silber refused. If he can refuse his own son based on sexuality, why are we surprised that he would refuse an entire University?? Something needs to be done. And quick. Before we start to regress evolutionally and become the close-minded, ignorant human beings he wants us to be. It’s a wonder he can sleep at night.
