Must’ve really needed the condom

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs Jan. 26 to Feb 2.

Security at Shelton Hall reported to police that a resident witnessed someone punching a vending machine and breaking the glass at 2:37 a.m. Jan. 26.

SKATING BY

BUPD responded to skateboarders on the second floor of Warren Towers at 4:55 p.m. Jan 26 who ‘will not leave.’

‘FREIGHT’-ENED

An officer reported another officer hit in the head by a freight elevator at Agganis Arena at 8:08 p.m. Jan 26.

GIVING MUGAR THE FINGER

BUPD responded to a call that a Walsh Brothers construction worker had injured his hand and lost the tip of a finger at Mugar Memorial Library at 9:05 a.m. Jan. 29.

ON THIN ICE

A caller at the BU Bridge reported seeing three men walking on the icey Charles River at 3:50 p.m. Jan. 30. BUPD found nothing when they arrived.

PARENTAL CONTROL

A caller at 1079 Commonwealth Ave. reported being harassed by a roommate’s parents at 6:31 p.m. Jan. 30.

WHITE BAGGING IT

A caller reported items stolen from the 7-Eleven at Kenmore Square at 9:29 p.m. Jan. 30. The caller said the shoplifter was running down Beacon Street carrying two white plastic bags and dropping things as he ran.

NUMBER ONE ON FLOOR ONE

A caller reported security at Hotel Commonwealth holding a man who went to the bathroom in the elevator at 2:35 a.m. Jan. 31.

LARGE AND IN CHARGE

Security at the Boston Medical Center reported ‘an extremely large person’ who was refusing to leave the emergency room and threw himself on the floor at 3:50 a.m. Jan. 31. Seven security officers were on the scene and required additional assistance.

BLOODY WEIRD

A caller reported at man covered in blood attempting to enter The Towers using someone else’s card at 4:55 a.m. Feb. 1. The man was transported to BMC.

PHONE FIEND

A student at Shelton Hall called at 5:44 p.m. Feb. 2 to report a past robbery. The caller reported walking down the road at the corner of Blandford Street and Commonwealth Avenue when a man ran from behind her, took her cell phone out of her hand and ran. The caller said the robbery occurred at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 30.
