Campus Crime Logs: Feb. 12 – Feb. 18

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department from Feb. 12 to Feb. 18.

Phone stolen from room

A 22-year-old female student reported on Feb. 12 that her cell phone was stolen from her room in Student Village 1 at 10 Buick St. The student told BUPD that there were several people in her room at the time of the theft, which occurred between 11:45 p.m. and 3 a.m. on Feb. 5-6. The cell phone was valued at $600.

Roommates have dispute in brownstone

BUPD responded to 81 Bay State Road at approximately 7 p.m. on Friday to a verbal dispute between roommates. The officers settled the argument.

Noise complaint for party

Officers responded to a noise complaint on Saturday at approximately 4 a.m. for a party held at 504 Park Drive. They found about 30 people and a large amount of alcohol at the South Campus apartment. No one was identified as underage, and BUPD broke up the party.

Car accident, damage sustained

A 23-year-old student operating a BU-owned automobile was involved in a motor vehicle accident Saturday at approximately 10 a.m. outside the School of Hospitality Administration at 928 C The student struck a parked car’s side window, and both cars sustained damage.

Burst pipe triggers fire alarm
BUPD responded to a fire alarm at 785 Comm. Ave. on Sunday at approximately 11:39 p.m. A burst water pipe on the second floor triggered the alarm. The Boston Fire Department was on the scene with building and grounds members, who later took over the scene for clean up and repair.

Student in vehicle assisted out of snow
A 23-year-old student reported Monday at approximately 8:15 p.m. that she was stuck in the snow in her vehicle at the intersection of Buick Street and Commonwealth Avenue. BUPD had a cruiser get behind the student’s vehicle to push it out of the snow. The student’s car sustained some accidental damage to the rear bumper.
