The Boston University Police Department is investigating a breaking and entering that occurred at 145 and 143 Bay State Road Tuesday morning, said BU spokesman Colin Riley.

Early Tuesday morning, BUPD arrived at the administrative offices for the department of religion and Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, which entrances have since been blocked off by yellow caution tape.

“Moving forward they want to identify what items may be missing and who may have taken them,” Riley said. “BUPD was able to respond quickly to the scene.”

One of the BUPD officers standing at the scene declined to comment.

BUPD has yet to file a report about the breaking and entering, Riley said.

The story will be updated as more information is released.
