Proposal excerpts incomplete

On behalf of the Boston University Student Union and BU Spectrum, I’d like to thank The Daily Free Press for its continued support of the student effort to include sexual orientation in the University’s nondiscrimination policy and to further extend the protection given to students who are gay, lesbian, bisexual transgendered, or thus perceived.

Unfortunatly, the brief excerpts of our proposal printed by The Daily Free Press leave out some key points to our argument, which are articulated in the full proposal. I encourage all students who are interested in this important dialog with the administration to read the full text of the proposal, which will be posted online at the Student Union website at http://www.bu.edu/UNION.

This movement affects all of us. I would encourage every reader of the Free Press to get involved in any way possible.

Dan Feder UNI ’02 VP of Public Relations, Student Union
