The following reports were taken from this week’s Allston-Brighton District 14 crime logs.
Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon at the Citizens Bank at 370 Western Ave. in Brighton.
The man reportedly approached the counter and handed a teller a hand-written note that allegedly read, “This is a holdup, I have a gun, put the money in the bag, no dye pack, not anything, just the money and no one gets hurt.”
The teller told police she put about $2,000 in the suspect’s briefcase along with a dye pack, despite the man’s demands that she not include one.
The suspect reportedly fled to a waiting car driven by an unknown male and left the scene.

A Lynn man was arrested for drug possession March 21 after attempting to discard a bag of what is believed to be cocaine.
While on patrol on Fidelis Way in Brighton, officers observed a man sitting in the front seat of a car holding an open, half-empty bottle of beer. According to reports, the officers were concerned that the man had alcohol in the car and stopped to talk to him.
At that time, another man exited a nearby building and reportedly looked at the officers before throwing a small clear plastic bag containing a white powder onto wood chips on the ground.
The suspect then reportedly got in the driver’s side of the car. The officers retrieved the item the suspect had allegedly thrown on the ground and found it to be dry despite the fact that it had been raining for about three hours.
Police then arrested the man, David Lucien, 28, of Lynn, and took him to District 14 for booking.
DRINK 182
A liquor store and a bar were assessed license premise violations Friday and Saturday nights in separate incidents.
On Friday, a patron of Maryann’s Tavern at 1937 Beacon St. reportedly walked out of the building with an open beer bottle. The man was arrested for violating open container laws. The bar was given a violation for allowing the man to leave with the open beer.
On Saturday, police cited Geagan’s Liquor Store at 1441 Commonwealth Ave. for a license premise violation after reportedly allowing an 18-year-old to purchase two 30-pack cases of beer.
The suspect reportedly admitted to being under 21 and possessing a fake Vermont license. The driver of the car the suspect carried the beer to allegedly said he did not have a license but admitted to being 19 years of age.
According to a report, officers brought the buyer into the store, where the clerk confirmed selling alcohol to him.
Police arrested Paul R. Casey, 18, of 66 Irving St. in Waltham, and Eric Frank, 19, of Waltham, for being minors in possession of alcohol. They also towed their car.
IT’S IN THE BAG
During an investigation of an outstanding warrant, police arrested an Allston man for drug possession on Friday.
Police observed the man enter a cab at the corner of Commonwealth and Harvard avenues. They followed the car to Jamaica Plain, where the man allegedly got out and entered a suspected drug location.
According to a report, the man exited the building in a matter of minutes, got into the same cab and returned to Brighton.
Officers stopped the cab and attempted to arrest the man. He allegedly identified himself with a false name.
Police arrested the man, David Alicea, 37, of Allston, on the outstanding warrant and, upon searching the cab, found a plastic bag containing heroin. They charged Alicea with drug possession.
KNOCKIN’ ON PRISON’S DOOR
Police caught a Lowell man in possession of marijuana in a Brighton apartment building Friday night.
Officers went to the building and reportedly saw the man knocking on the door of one of the apartments. They asked if he lived in the building and he reportedly said no.
According to reports, one of the officers noticed the man holding something in his left hand underneath his three-quarter-length coat. The officers also allegedly smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the suspect.
One of the officers felt the coat and found a large plastic bag. He removed the bag from the coat and then found three large plastic bags and two small plastic bags of a “green herb.” They also found more than $1,000.
Police arrested the man, Marcus Oslan, 21, for intent to sell drugs.
