It has come to my attention that BU is no longer a SAFE school when student health is a factor.
Recently, my fellow suitemates and I have encountered my foul and unsanitary living conditions. The latest “BATS.” Bats where seen in the kitchen and flying around the vestibule of South Campus late last night (8/13). One unsuspecting resident upon enter his apartment on 504 park drive recalls his encounter:
“I heard the vestibule door shut behind me. Then the next thing I know i see a BAT flying at me. So i proceeded to quickly run up the stairs fleeing the scene for my room.
I quickly got on the phone with the south campus RA office and they said they placed call to B’G. About 45 minutes passed and nothing had yet been done about the BAT problem. Just then my suitemate went to leave and saw the BAT it was trapped in the vestibule. He fled back up the stairs and walked into the kitchen. And in horror he saw yet another BAT.
I proceeded to call the office again and spoke to the same person again.
ME: There is another BAT in my building its in the kitchen RA(in a slightly angered tone): Well i dont know what you want me to do i already called B’G. I’m NOT a BAT catcher. Sheesh” *note: RA later called back and apologized for the way she handled things –click
After me and my roommate both scurry out of our building.
As proof, If i could i would enclose a picture of the bat hanging in the vestibule.
After the 3rd call to the office a B’G representitive “BAT MAN” arrived shortly after and let one bat fly away free while the other one, the one in the kitchen “had fled the scene and landed in the bathroom” and was soon put to rest.
Now i dont feel safe living in my building. I peer out my door in fear of another BAT incident. I constantly have my eyes looking around and once in a while i think i see something flying and wonder is it just my imagination this time or is it real.
And in other notes: ROACHES, CRICKETS, WATER BEATLES and various other insects have also been put to rest in this same building.
Now, This may be a once in a life time event. Or is it?
