A Chevy Malibu and a Ford truck collided at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Babcock Street at approximately 10:30 p.m. last night.
While police at the scene reported no injuries had occurred, witnesses reported seeing a person leave in an ambulance.
Aaron Foster, 20, of Boston, said he was driving through the intersection when the driver of the Malibu “t-boned” his truck.
Foster was attempting to cross Commonwealth Avenue while driving northbound on Babcock Street, and the Malibu was crossing Babcock Street while driving westbound in the leftmost lane on Commonwealth Avenue.
According to Foster, he was struck by the Malibu in his passenger side door.
Upon being struck, Foster’s truck flipped over and landed inches away from the side of 1019 Commonwealth Ave. His only injuries were scrapes on his left hand.
“I was t-boned from the side — roll, roll, roll,” Foster said, explaining how his truck was hit and flipped over several times. “I closed my eyes and next think I know, I look up and some big guy pulled me out [of the truck].”
Simon Campa, 29, of Boston, said, he heard the accident.
“I just heard the crunch,” Campa said. “It was a nasty crunch.”
