Stop the liberal bias

You know, I have written your paper four times, and because I know you will not publish (maybe not even read) anything I write because it is not conducive to your liberal precepts, I have decided to simply write you an email so you can understand just how unfairly unbalanced and completely biased your Socialist paper really is.

I am sure you recognize just how liberally skewed the articles you and your colleagues publish on a daily basis are, and while I think it is okay to have left-minded authors’ works be published, I think it is horrible that you deliberately refuse to publish contrary opinions perhaps of the conservative mindset. Of course, you fail to understand that it would only strengthen your papers’ positions if the articles you chose to publish were to be measured against other types of positions, thoughts and opinions.

You and your readers are tremendously afraid to come out of your liberal temples. As of now, The Daily Free Press stands alone in a corner of textual solitude and fearfulness. To the educated people of this university, it is fully apparent that your propaganda paper possesses diminutive or no use to our lives — the paper is simply a frivolous volition that lures the homosexuals, feminists and other left-wing crowds this university buoys up creating a little Epicurean garden where reality is dismissed and “friends” alike gather in an all-to-familiar cloud-cuckoo-land. Perhaps if the year were 1969, The Daily Free Press might have a bit more clout among all peoples residing at Boston University. Unfortunately, reality strikes again, believe it or not. The year is 2002 and as Bob Dylan once said, “The Times They Are A-Changin’.”

Do you know how sick I am — not to mention the many people I know — who reluctantly pick up The Daily Free Press to find a good old daily dosing of anti-American, anti-John Silber, anti-conservative, Socialist garbage that really only results in defining the stupidity of the author and the lack of concern of the editors?

What will it take for you and the other editors, specifically, to create a more fair and balanced paper? I dare you to publish this letter — prove me wrong. At least now I feel better that at least one person has read the true sentiments of the Boston University general public.

Good luck, and as you keep on rolling out daily news and selected columns, I pray that every one of you laborers for The Daily Free Press does not pursue a journalism career in the near future.
