The right side of the conflict does not support terrorism

Regarding Farid Hussaini’s letter to the editor (Palestinians are on the right side of the Middle-East conflict, December 2), I would like to point out that the palestinians are not as weaponless as Hussaini tries to depict (“Let’s see what the Palestinians have — stones, maybe a few homemade bombs and a gun maybe”).

Maybe Hussaini doesn’t remember, but as part of the Oslo accords, a large quantity of automatic weapons were put in the hands of the Palestinians — supplied courtesy of the Israeli government! Too bad these very weapons the Israelis gave to promote peace are now being used against them in sniper attacks and other terrorist activity. Not to mention the tremendous amound of money Palestinians are receiving from like-minded radical Islamists who promote terror — wealthy individuals and governments.

If you really believe the Palestinians only have “a few homemade bombs and a gun maybe”, check out this website of Israeli terror victims, just from this last year. The pages go on and on, but the list ends in June and these are just a fraction of the victims.

The Palestinian terrorists do pretty well considering their “limited” resources.
