Talk about a slow week in gossip …

It seems that Fred Durst still won’t shut the hell up about Britney Spears. Durst was on Howard Stern recently and finally admitted the details to his and Miss Spears sordid affair. The king of nookie claims that he slept with her on their first date and that her breasts are, indeed, real. Britney’s press people deny these reports. Does he think that saying he deflowered this pop tart will make up for his status as lead singer of the worst band ever? They can’t even write songs because their guitar player left and they have to tour the country looking for a new one which is just a trick making kids (ahem … fans) sign papers that give the Bizkit license to their fan’s songs. How awesome is that? …

Miami’s favorite thug Trick Daddy was arrested and charged with various assault charges. The Florida rapper apparently threatened someone’s life at the end of a basketball game and is facing a maximum of 35 years in prison. Damn Trick, I thought you love the kids? …

Tony Yayo is still in jail. But our buddy 50 Cent is currently working on a DVD to be released on April 15th, which will include an interview with the incarcerated G-Unit member. The release will also include a few new songs by 50 and some behind the scenes, bonus and live performance material. Based on the DVD that came with his last album, this should definitely be an interesting release …

Boston band Cave-In’s Stephen Brodsky joined Boston hardcore band Converge on stage at their performance at the Middle East on Sunday night. Brodsky was attempting to show that he’s still scene credible after his band Cave-In signed to RCA records. BU-related band Sex Positions opened the show …

Indie-rock/hardcore legend Ian MacKaye, founder of bands Minor Threat and Fugazi, will make a rare BU appearance tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at Morse Auditorium. It’s going to be an open discussion. Why not go and talk with a legend?
