to Patrick Gillooly — housing selection article

I had to laugh at your article on the housing lottery, as it doesn’t seem to have changed much since I was there just over ten years ago. My roommate and I chose to stay in Warren for our sophmore year and used her better lottery number to get a big corner double. During that year, Warren Towers was described in Newsweek as “having the ambience of a Moscow apartment house.” Reading Silber’s comment brought that right back to me (I see he’s as tactful as ever, too). Enjoy your year in Warren, and I hope you have a better number next year.
