Completely scandalous

What has happened here at BU has been scandalous. When I speak with my friends from back home, I do not go to a university any more I go to the punch line of a bad joke. I am outraged at the ouster of Dan Goldin, as should be everyone else who is affiliated with BU.

The trustees have screwed up royally and they should pay for it dearly. Why should the university pay the $1.8 million in severance for someone who did not serve a single day as president? I can see our tuition rising even more than it normally does every year because of this debacle. The trustees must be forced to pay for this out of their own pockets! If they choose not to pay, then they should be forced to resign. That is the only way to teach them a lesson. They had plenty of time to reconsider their choice while negotiations were underway with him during the summer, but they did not.

I am taking Goldin Day off whether we have Nov. 17 off or not in protest of this, and I think that everyone else should too.
