Sabo trial

Ah, more sports and courts, how I love the world of college and professional athletics. Although I can’t comment on the the justice of John Sabo’s acquittal on assault and battery charges, I did find your story reeking of irony when referring to the reaction of Sabo’s current team. Sabo’s new team is called the Boardwalk Bullies? Add that to his title of Avenue Assaulter. He was always a bit of a thug on the ice and now he has the nicknames to back it up.

I suppose that was somewhat humorous in its irony, but Bullies PR man Dan Weiss’ comment that he “got a kick out of it (following the trial),” was in poor taste, considering Sabo’s alleged kicks led to the surgical placement of plates in Christopher Boccuzzi’s face. I would expect at least a modicum of sensitivity from a Public Relations man.
