Thieves steal projectors, trombone

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Nov. 12 through Nov. 20.

Two Sony projectors were taken from Boston University buildings, and a third attempted projector theft occurred in the past 10 days.

The first, valued at $3,000, was reported stolen from the Tsai Performance Center at around 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 14. The second projector, valued at $8,000, was reported stolen from the College of Arts and Sciences at around 8:30 a.m. The attempted theft of another projector in CAS was reported at around 9 a.m. on Nov. 14.

BU Police Department Sgt. Jack St. Hilaire said BUPD officials suspect the three incidents are related, but they have no suspects.

COMMONWEALTH AVENUE OR FROGGER

A car hit a female BU student near 705 Commonwealth Ave. at around 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 14. She was struck after running into the street and taken to Beth Israel Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

TROMBONEHEAD

A $3,500 trombone was stolen from a secured locker in the College of Fine Arts on Nov. 15. The lock had been cut, and police have no suspects in the case.

IS THAT INSULIN?

Janet Levine, 44, of Boston, was arrested around noon on Nov. 14 at the BU Medical Campus for an outstanding narcotics warrant out of Roxbury district court.

Police arrested Anthony Perrone, 46, of Roxbury, at around 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Boston Medical Center for an outstanding narcotics warrant.
