Bicycling in Boston

I would have thought that the laws pertaining to bicycling in Boston would have been researched before articles (2) were written in your September 29th issue. They laws can be found on line at http://www.cityofboston.gov/transportation/roadwarrior.asp Note particularly: “You may not ride on sidewalks in the City of Boston (BTD Art. 6 Sec. 18).” Pedestrians do not check to see if bicyclists are coming up behind, because they are not supposed to be there. I have seen bicyclists try to ride through crowds at intermission at the Tsai Performance Center. I have seen pedestrians used like an obstacle course. We have no choice as to where to walk. Don’t make the sidewalks dangerous.
