City Crime Logs

The following reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton District 14’s crime logs from Nov. 16 to Nov. 27.

Six men attacked and injured two tow lot attendants and stole back their towed vehicle from the lot at 100 Hano St. in Allston early Thursday morning.

Police ultimately pulled over the stolen vehicle and arrested four of the assailants including Rafael Tighlman, 22, Keith Bynoe, 24, Emmanuel Sims, 21, and Peter Umbenhower, 25.

The men arrived at the lot in a blue Acura sport utility vehicle to retrieve their towed Volkswagen. When the tow company repossessed their car, however, the men threw the two attendants to the ground, punching them in the face and pointing guns to the back of their heads.

“I’ll [expletive deleted] kill you!” Tighlman cried. “I don’t want to have to kill you.”

Tighlman continued to shove the first attendant as he pointed a black stun gun at the man and shot it directly at him. While the attendant lay on the ground, Tighlman grabbed his portable service radio.

After debilitating the attendants, the six assailants split up between the SUV and towed Volkswagen and sped off away from the lot.

Brookline Police stopped the stolen Volkswagen on Jamaica Way and found the stun gun upon searching the car.

TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN

Two young men robbed a Watertown resident at gunpoint in Brighton Wednesday night as she exited a bus.

Immediately after the victim stepped off the 57 bus at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Washington Street, two young men clad in black puffy jackets, whom the victim estimated were no more than 14 years old, cornered her both sides and demanded her money.

“Give me your money,” the first assailant said as he pulled out a handgun and pushed it into her waist.

The assailants grabbed the victim’s white handbag, containing $20, and ran toward the Fidelis Way Housing Projects.

GUN VIOLENCE

An unknown assailant broke into a home at 21 Oak Square Ave. in Brighton and stole thousands of dollars worth of guns and ammunition Wednesday afternoon, injuring one of the residents in the process.

The assailant, clad in a grey hooded sweatshirt, broke into the house and snuck up behind the victim, a teenager just returning from school, and struck him in the forehead with a handgun before running upstairs to the second floor.

The assailant entered the spare bedroom of the house, where the family stored multiple guns, and stole two rifles, two handguns and an AK-47, including ammo, worth more than $4,000 combined.

After gathering the weapons, the assailant ran back down the stairs and punched the victim in the nose before leaving the house holding a handgun.

Groggy, the victim stood up and chased the assailant out the door and down Washington Street to Rogers Park before losing track of him.

The victim’s sister was asleep upstairs throughout the robbery.

The victim suffered a one-inch laceration on his forehead from the blow and a bloody nose. He was treated at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
