Mother leaves child in car to visit CFA

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Nov. 15 to 28.

BABY DON’T GO

A caller walking down Commonwealth Avenue at 2:36 p.m. Nov. 28 reported seeing a sleeping baby in the backseat of an otherwise unoccupied car parked in front of the College of Fine Arts. Police arrived just as the child’s mother was exiting CFA, where she said she had been for two to three minutes. The officer warned her not to do it again.

FATAL ATTRACTION

On Nov. 26, a female caller at 829 Beacon St. at 11:50 p.m. reported receiving threatening voice messages from her boyfriend. A report is due.

TRIPPIN’ OUT

BUPD responded to a report of a shirtless man running down Beacon Street at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 19. He was found to be under the influence of hallucinogens and was transported to a hospital.

PARTY HARDY

BUPD responded to the report of a speeding and possibly intoxicated motorcyclist traveling down George Hart Way at 1:26 a.m. Nov. 15. The man was arrested for reckless driving, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

PICK-POCKET

A caller reported someone grabbed a wallet from his or her back pocket on Beacon Street at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 28. The caller knocked the wallet out of the thief’s hand, and the thief fled toward Fenway Park. A report is due.

WHEN A STRANGER MAILS

On Nov.19 at 4:26 p.m., a female caller at Shelton Hall reported receiving a letter from an unknown male party requesting a meeting. No report was filed.

TRASH TALK

Police removed and warned a homeless person sleeping next to a dumpster outside the WBUR radio station building at 9:20 p.m. Nov. 27.

HEAD OVER HEELS

A caller reported a female party who fell down the stairs of the Boston Language Institute at 11:17 a.m. Nov. 19. She was transported to and treated at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

DRUNKEN PARTY NO. 1

A caller reported an intoxicated female party who was continuously vomiting at 170 Bay State Road at 3:16 a.m. Nov 16. She was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

DRUNKEN PARTY NO. 2

A caller reported an intoxicated male party passed out at Warren Towers at 1:11 a.m. Nov 17. He was transported to the Boston Medical Center.
