For the record, after BU’s Funniest Student event Friday night at BU Central, Daily Free Press reporter Jamie Boderck asked me which students’ routines I found humorous. I named at least three student comics and broadly commented about their performances, without referencing any of their specific jokes or comic themes. Yet in today’s article (‘BU students compete for laughs, Nov. 24, p.11’), Ms. Boderck takes a general comment I reportedly made and links it to one student’s specific jokes, which presents a grossly inaccurate picture of my brief interview with Ms. Boderck as well as my view of the competition.
