Everybody loves a parade, but is it really appropriate to be spending lavishly on something fun, but entirely useless, on the same day that the administration is talking about cutting something as academically vital as the ResNet labs? How much did it cost to have 20 cops and two ambulances standing around? How much does the city charge to close a major avenue for a few hours? And how many students actually went to see the display? For the final part, I’m guessing less than the number of students who used a ResNet lab this week. And for the first part, I’m guessing it cost more than it costs to run the labs for a month. President Robert Brown needs to get his priorities in order.

Sinclair is completely right on this. Brown is keeping the dessert and cutting out the main course.<p/>”Some things a bit more important than money”? How about the computer labs we paid for?
