I fought the law, and BU won

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Oct. 8 to Oct. 13.

A BU student was cited for possession of marijuana near Myles Standish Hall at 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 9. The student possessed less than one ounce and will not face further legal issues, only sanctions from BU.

COMMUNICATION
BREAKDOWN

A student reported her laptop was stolen from a classroom in the College of Communication at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. She had left it unattended for five hours.

TWO WRONGS DON’T MAKE A RIGHT

BUPD stopped a car driving the wrong direction at 108 Bay State Rd. around 1 a.m. on Oct. 8. Upon investigation, BUPD found the car was stolen and arrested the 27-year-old man from Boston.

HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME

BUPD responded to a caller who reported that a new BU sign had been smashed near 881 Commonwealth Ave. at 8 a.m. on Oct. 10.
