Campus Crime Logs: Vermonster strikes again

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Feb. 11 to Feb. 17.

A caller reported that his wallet was stolen from 915 Commonwealth Ave. at 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 11. The BU student said he left his wallet outside of the squash court in the Fitness and Recreation Center. He left FitRec and returned after he realized his wallet was gone. The student found his wallet, but his Vermont driver’s license was missing from it.

SNACKTIME
A caller reported a shoplifter at 130 Dartmouth St. at 8 a.m. on Feb. 15. The shoplifter was a 52-year-old man who was caught stealing five sandwiches, two bags of Planter’s peanuts and one package of cookies from the City Convenience store before he was arrested.

99 PROBLEMS, BUT A PURSE AIN’T ONE

BUPD responded to a call from a BU employee whose purse was stolen from 855 Commonwealth Ave. at 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 11. The employee said she left the purse under her desk and lost about $400 in cash and electronics.

MORNING-AFTER STEAL

A BU student reported his Macbook computer was stolen from his dorm room at 277 Babcock St. on Feb. 16. The caller said he thought the laptop was stolen sometime between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m., when he was away from his room.

BUZZED WELL

BUPD responded to a call at 3 Buswell St. at 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 13. BUPD found three students were in violation of the university’s alcohol policy after they found one student who was of age was providing alcohol to underage students.

FINDER’S KEEPERS

A caller reported her wallet had been stolen at 10 p.m. on Feb. 17. The BU student said her wallet was stolen from a lounge in the George Sherman Union, and she knew $10 was inside.
