You Rang?

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from March 31 to April 7.

The Boston University Police Department responded to a call about a burglary at 277 Babcock St. on March 31 at 9 p.m. A female student said that while she was in her room at about 4 p.m., someone knocked on her door, but when she answered it no one was there. The woman said she then took a nap and woke up to find that someone had stolen her BU ID card, the keys to her room, and her MasterCard credit card.

BYE BYE BLACKBERRY

A caller reported that her cell phone had been stolen from the School of Law at 10:30 p.m. on April 4. The caller said someone managed to steal her BlackBerry while she was attending an event there.

HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT

BUPD responded to a caller reporting that his cell phone was stolen from 635 Commonwealth Ave. on April 1 at 6 p.m. The caller said he put his phone under his seat while in class and left it there for a few hours. He returned later to find it gone.

YO QUIERO MI DINERO

A caller reported that his backpack was stolen from the Qdoba restaurant at 540 Commonwealth Ave. on April 1 at 7:30 p.m. The caller said all of his money and credit cards were stolen, and he did not know what the suspect looked like.

SHARING IS CARING . . . OR NOT

A caller reported that her room at 515 Park Dr. had been burglarized at 6 p.m. on April 4. She reported her passport and Louis Vuitton bag had been stolen. It was later discovered that the woman’s roommate was responsible for taking the items without the woman’s permission.

BREAKING BAD

BUPD responded to a call from concerned students at 11 Bay State Rd. on March 31 at 4 p.m. The callers said they noticed a window had been smashed in at the back of the building. Police later confirmed that $6,000 in jewelry and two laptops had been stolen from one apartment.
