Educator and businessman Christopher Muller will succeed James Stamas as dean of School of Hospitality Administration, Boston University President Robert Brown announced in a June 11 press release.

Before being appointed, Muller taught at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, where he won Hospitality Teacher of the Year five times.

He also helped found the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 1999, where he was Teacher of the Year in 2001.

Aside from education, Muller founded Za Bistro!, a café in Maitland, Fla and ran a blog titled Starters for Restaurant and Institutions Magazine.

“Chris will bring to SHA enormous professional and creative energy,” Brown said in the press release.
