INTERROBANG

The release of Boston University’s annual crime report this week showed that fire damages cost BU about $600,000 in 2009. We here at the ol’ Free Press thought about what we would have spent that money on instead if we had the choice.

  • We would put some of the money towards a two minute bullet train from West Campus to Kenmore Square.
  • Some of the money should be spent on building a playground outside of CGS so that students have somewhere to go for recess.
  • A portion of the $600,000 should be spent on renovations for the SMG building. Because we all know it really needs it.
  • Some of the money should be allocated toward bubble wrapping Commnwealth Ave. in order to ensure safety for all pedestrians.
  • We would buy Spike Lee some Red Sox gear to wear the next time he gives a lecture on campus.
  • Dean Elmore should be given some of the money to spend on a European vacation. Oh wait…
  • Some of the cash should be set aside to buy Tim Cahill a really nice “thinking of you” card.
  • We would use the rest of the money to give Daily Free Press staffers a raise to a quarter a day. And not a penny less.
