City Crime Logs: Wicked Pissah

The following reports were taken from the Boston Police Department news blog from Sept. 27 to Oct. 4

On Sunday night at the TD Bank Garden Roger Waters’ Concert, a woman reported to police that a man had urinated on her shoes, her coat and her friend’s coat. The victim said that she was watching the concert when the man standing next to her took his penis out of his pants and urinated. Police identified the man by the wet spot on his pants and shoes. Police confronted him and he said that his wet spot was due to a spilt drink and not urine. Police then arrested the man for open and gross lewdness and disorderly conduct.

DJ Disturbia

Police responded to a report of domestic abuse at the downtown Holiday Inn last Friday at 11:20 p.m. The caller said that his wife was threatening and chasing him with a knife and that he was locked inside the bathroom in room 302. Officers went to the Holiday to inquire about the situation. On the way, the man again called to say his wife was still threatening him and was now high on cocaine. Officers entered the room 302 and found two female Suffolk University students who were not in distress. They reported that they had received a strange call earlier that night from a man who told them to vacate the room due to a fire hazard. The officers in room 302 then received an alert that the man was still calling police to report domestic violence in room 302. After the police reported that there was no domestic threat in the room, they received another call that the man and the wife were on the roof. The Boston Fire Department was dispatched for a possible jumper on the Holiday Inn roof. Neither police, firefighters nor hotel personnel noticed anything out of the ordinary on the roof. The police then received another call from a man who said that the calls were pranks, that he was a radio DJ at WZR, a Myrtle Beach, S.C. radio station, and that he was broadcasting the calls live. BPD are now seeking charges against WZR.

Melted Dreams

On Friday afternoon, police in East Boston received a call that there was an unconscious man in a car with the engine still running. The Boston Fire Department arrived on the scene first. They found the man slumped over his steering wheel and woke him up. They reported that the suspect had bloodshot eyes, was slurring his speech and was unable to maintain his balance. The suspect stated that he had not been drinking or taking drugs. However, when the police took the key out of the ignition they reportedly smelt both burnt and not burnt marijuana. Upon searching the car, police found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $48,000. Police also noted that there were melted ice cream popsicles in the front seat. The suspect was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute.
