Campus Crime Logs: Tag, you’re it

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Feb. 14 to Feb. 23.

On Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m. in the rear of 730 Commonwealth Ave., three non-affiliate males were suspected to be tagging and were found to be in possession of paint cans. One suspect was also given a citation for having less than an ounce of marijuana.

Love lockdown

BUPD received a call at 4:15 a.m. on Feb. 15 for a loud noise disturbance at 42 Buswell St. A female student had signed in a male friend as a guest, but he was locked out of her room and was banging on her door, disturbing others.

Stop hitting on me

At 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 16, a female employee called BUPD to report that she had hit an unknown male pedestrian in Packard Square. He told her that he was fine and did not ask for help.

Viking invasion

On Feb. 16, a male employee called BUPD at 5 p.m. from the Physics Department to report that between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. someone had stolen a container of prescription Vicodin from his office while he was out.

Linkshare strikes back

On Feb. 17, a female student notified BUPD at 3 p.m. that the business scam Linkshare had e-mailed her on Feb. 15. BU police are sending detectives to investigate.

Mac attack

A male employee called BUPD on Feb. 17 at 11:30 a.m. to report a $1,200 MacBook had been stolen from his office at 985 Comm. Ave., which was left unlocked for one hour.

Bad publicity

A female student called BUPD on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. to report unwanted e-mails she had been receiving after her environmental article was published in the Beacon Hill Patch on Dec. 2.

On Feb. 18, a female student pulled out of the Enterprise parking lot and got into an accident on the MBTA tracks at 5:30 p.m. She was injured and the eastbound Green Line tracks had to be repaired for several hours.

Who turned off the light?

An Office of Residence Life staff member called BUPD at 2:37 a.m. on Feb. 19 to report that an upset male student destroyed several light covers at 575 Comm. Ave. He is now being charged for maliciously damaging property.

You’re not gonna reach my telephone

A female student called BU police on Feb. 19 at 3:29 a.m. from 852 Beacon St. after an argument with a boyfriend, a Harvard University student. She suspected that he had stolen her cell phone from her apartment.

Love in an elevator

At 10 a.m. on Feb. 19 a female employee called BUPD because a male suspect had been masturbating next to her in the elevator in the School of Theology. However, the suspect fled the scene and was not captured.

Elevated level of conciousness

On Feb. 21 at 5:45 p.m. two students in the Warren C-Tower were trapped in an elevator and had to be rescued by the Boston Fire Department and Otis. Neither student was injured.
