Campus Crime Logs: Road Rage

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Feb. 28 to March 7.

On Feb. 28 at 12:30 p.m. BUPD responded to an assault and battery between a pedestrian and a motorist at Commonwealth Ave. and Cummington St. The two suspects verbally fought, and then one suspect punched the other one. Neither suspect decided to press any criminal charges.

Deleted scene from “The Roommate”

A male student reported to BU police that he was threatened by his roommate at 4 p.m. on March 2. The two students live at 33 Harry Agganis Way and were arguing about room assignments, resulting in threatening comments.

Nervous Nelly

At about 4:30 p.m. on March 5, the BU Center for Anxiety Disorders reported to BUPD that they had received a threatening phone call. However, they later found out that it was a phone call from a patient who claimed that there had been some miscommunication.

BU burglar strikes again

At 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 28, a male student realized that his laptop and backpack had been stolen from the Photonics Center after leaving the items in an unlocked room for about two hours.

Friendly bus passenger

A female student called the BUPD at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 to report that her cell phone had been stolen on the MBTA 57 Bus.

Pumping iron

On March 1 at 8 p.m. a student reported that her wallet, sweatshirt, iPod and cell phone had been stolen from the weight room at 300 Babcock St. while they were left unattended.

The Chronic

An Office of Residence Life staff member smelled marijuana burning in a student’s dormitory at Rich Hall on March 5. The female student, who was alone, admitted that the bag of pot was hers.

MacBook outlaw wanted

BUPD received a call on March 5 at 11:10 p.m. from two students living at 515 Park Dr. They claimed that their apartment had been burglarized and two MacBooks and jewelry were missing.
