The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Nov. 21 to Nov. 27.
Pry and Try
On Nov. 21 at 9:45 a.m., it was reported that someone had entered the building at 650 Beacon St. and tried to break into some of the private offices located there. Officers observed fresh pry marks and wooden chips on the floor. They suspect that someone tried entering the offices and failed sometime over the weekend. No suspect was found.
Flute practice
A BU employee reported on Nov. 21 at 12:15 p.m. that a male student reported seeing another male student masturbating publicly at the College of Fine Arts at 855 Commonwealth Ave. Police plan to investigate the incident, and said that usually a student found of open and gross lewdness is recommended therapy.
Ghost cooker
On Wednesday, officers responded to a carbon-monoxide alarm at 24 Buswell St. Officers entered the apartment and saw that the stove was on, but nobody was in the apartment. They shut down the stove, reset the alarm and locked up the apartment.
Gotchya
BUPD assisted Brookline police on Saturday after observing and stopping wanted subjects in a vehicle who had just fled a larceny at Coolidge Corner. Officers stopped the three suspects at the corner of Park Drive and Brookline Avenue. All three suspects were placed under arrest and turned over to the Brookline police. None of the suspects were affiliated with BU.
Higher education
On Sunday at 10 p.m., the Office of Residence Life staff discovered marijuana at 140 Bay State Rd. in a male student’s room. The marijuana was turned over to police and the student was issued a citation.
