The following crime reports were taken from the Allston-Brighton District D-14 crime logs from Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.
On Saturday at about 1:45 p.m., a 29-year-old building manager reported his ex-wife broke into his apartment at 1082 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton. The victim said he went to the hospital at 2 a.m. on Friday to treat an illness. At 9 a.m., he talked to his ex-wife on the phone while still in the hospital and told her he wanted her to pick up all her belongings. He later got a text message from his ex-wife that said, “I came to the house but you changed the locks.” The victim responded in a text that said, “If you break the window I will call the police.” His ex-wife did not respond and when the victim returned to his apartment he discovered someone had entered it through a window. The ex-wife took a desktop computer, a 22-inch television, clothes and a Yorkshire Terrier.
Slim Jim
At about 10:40 a.m. on Feb. 8, a green-eyed 26-year-old with a slim build was arrested on warrant at Blue Hill Ave. and Callender St. in Mattapan. The offender had a warrant issued for his arrest on Jan. 30 for possessing burglarious tools and breaking and entering a vehicle/boat, as well as receiving over $250 of stolen property.
Sock hop
On Saturday at about 10 p.m., the owner of the Missing Sock Laundromat at 1846 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton reported the front store window was smashed and the change-dispensing machine was stolen from the front desk. The owner said she had gone to dinner at about 8:30 p.m. and when she returned at about 10 p.m. the front window was broken. The change machine, containing about $200 in cash and about $2,00 in change, was gone. The owner also said she saw a dark-colored pickup truck with two or three males in the back of the truck. The cameras in the Laundromat were not working at the time.
Sunoc-ow
On Friday at about 2 a.m., a 26-year-old female was shopping at the Sunoco gas station at 850 Commonwealth Ave. in Allston. The female used the provided bathroom and when she exited, three males attacked her. One of the males punched her in the throat and another hit her repeatedly in the back. The victim stated that the three attackers were acquaintances of her brother. The attackers took the victim’s Coach purse, which held a Sony VAIO laptop, a Shell gas station card, credit cards, a birth certificate, a social security card, cash, 120 oxycodone pills and four diazepam pills. After sleeping at her brother’s dorm room, the victim went to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and received treatment for two sprained ankles, a sprained wrist, back contusions and a broken bone in her right hand.
