A third suspect allegedly involved in two of the four recent armed robberies near Boston University’s Charles River Campus turned himself in late Friday, officials said.
The third suspect, whose name is not released because he is a juvenile, faces two counts of armed robbery, the Brookline Police Department confirmed. He was held at the Brookline Police station on Friday evening.
“The investigation into all of these crimes continues, but we believe these three individuals are related certainly to the second and third robberies, and we’ll see where the investigation takes us as far as any involvement in the other one,” said BU spokesman Colin Riley.
The arrest came just hours after Brookline Police charged Taquari Milton, 17, of Roxbury, with two counts of robbery, according to the Brookline PD blog.
Both suspects are set to be arraigned in Brookline District Court on Monday.
The first suspect, also identified as a juvenile, turned himself in on Thursday and is also allegedly connected with two of the four robberies.
Investigations are working to determine if these suspects are also allegedly involved in the robberies on Sep. 23 and Oct. 9, Riley said.
“The first, we didn’t have as good a description by the victims of the suspects,” Riley said. “But the fourth one, we’ll work to see if these individuals are related to that case too, but we just don’t know at this time.”
