T, car collide at Packard’s Corner, driver sustains mild injuries

A B line trolley on the Green line collided with a car at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Commonwealth Avenue Monday night.

“It was a very minor accident. A car and a trolley collided. No one in the car was injured,” said Steve MacDonald, spokesman for the Boston Fire Department.

The man running the trolley was taken to the hospital, but he seemed only to be startled, MacDonald said.

“He was just shaken up,” MacDonald said. “He walked to the ambulance after the accident. He should be fine.”

Kelly Smith, deputy press secretary for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority, said the transit police are on the scene investigating the cause of the accident.

“Service has been suspended to Blandford Street and we have buses accommodating passengers from Kenmore to Packard’s Corner,” she said.
