City Crime Logs: Oct. 9-10

The following reports were taken from the Boston Police Department crime logs from Oct. 9-10.

Agitated man flees after assaulting stranger

BPD received a radio call at about 10:35 a.m. on Monday regarding an assault and battery in Allston. The victim reported to an officer that he offered to buy pizza at Natalie’s Pizzeria for a man asking for food but soon “became nervous,” and asked the clerk at Natalie’s to call the police. The suspect became agitated, grabbed the victim by the shirt, and yelled, “Don’t play me.” The victim told the suspect he was going to call the police, at which point the suspect fled the scene.

Officer injured during struggle with suspect

Two officers responded to a radio call for an officer in need of assistance at Hobson Street at 11:35 p.m. on Monday. A “brief struggle” with a suspect occurred, according to the report. An officer noticed afterward that his right wrist was swollen.

Vandalism committed by Brighton High School students

BPD was notified of a vandalism in progress at about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim was babysitting Monday night into Tuesday morning and heard a window break at 4 a.m. When they woke up at 7 a.m., they heard the glass door smash. After arriving on scene, officers observed a broken back door and broken window. Officers confirmed that the two suspects were Brighton High School students, and turned them over to the school.
