The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Jan. 17–21.
Suspicious person reported near Danielsen Hall
BUPD received an anonymous tip about an individual with a hammer in his pocket looking into car windows near 512 Beacon St. at 12:51 p.m. Jan. 17. Officers checked the area but could not find the individual. Other agencies working in the area provided BUPD with a description of the individual.
Lyft fight near Hotel Commonwealth
Boston Police reported a fight in a Lyft rideshare in front of 500 Commonwealth Ave. at 1:02 a.m. Sunday. BPD handled the incident.
Screaming heard at Alltown
An individual called BPD to report hearing a female voice screaming near 510 Park Dr. at 1:39 a.m. Sunday. BUPD officers searched the area but did not find the party inside or outside the building.
Motor vehicle accident at Pardee Center
An Office of Facilities Management and Planning supervisor reported at 4:07 p.m. Sunday that a vehicle parked in the rear of 67 Bay State Road was hit by a pole from Storrow Drive. Massachusetts State Police arrived on the scene. The pole was removed from the vehicle, and the State Police took a report on the accident.
Larceny at 24 Buswell Street
Residence Life reported at 6:46 p.m. Monday that a resident of 24 Buswell St. returned to their dorm to find all of their property missing.
