Campus Crime Logs: Feb. 25 – March 2

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department’s crime logs from Feb. 25 – March 2.

Suspicious Person at 194 Bay State Rd.

At 4:06 p.m. on Feb. 25, a BU Residence Life employee reported that a group, who refused to identify themselves, camped out in the basement of the building. The Office of the Facilities Management and Planning was contacted to secure the door and the group left prior to their arrival.

Well Being Check at Carlton St. and Commonwealth Ave.

At 3:52 p.m. on Feb. 26, a caller reported that a male party wearing a Bruins hat and a sweatshirt was walking in the middle of the road yelling at bypassers.

Harassment at 735 Commonwealth Ave.

At 7:04 p.m. on Feb. 26, a caller reported that they were followed after a protest. 

Narcotic Investigation at 40 Buswell St.

At 10 p.m. on Feb. 26, a BU Residence Life employee requested a BUPD officer speak with residents about suspected drug use and dealing by two separate parties. Armstrong Ambulance was notified and a party was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center under protective custody.

Suspicious Person at 745 Commonwealth Ave.

At 1:56 a.m. on Feb. 27, someone submitted a tip that a homeless party was harassing students and asking for money. 

Well Being Check at 147 Kelton St.

At 10:28 a.m. on Feb. 27, a caller reported that a party had not been in contact with friends or teachers in several weeks. The Boston Police Department was notified and it was reported that the party has no history of mental illness or threats of self-harm.

Larceny under $1200 at 685 Commonwealth Ave.

At 6:19 p.m. on Feb. 27, a party went to the station to report that their scooter was stolen. 

Assault at 915 Commonwealth Ave.

At 5:19 p.m. on Feb. 28, BUPD reported that two parties were trying to fight a third party, possibly following the larceny of a scooter. 

Active Fire at 65 Ashford St.

At 2:25 a.m. on March 2, an active fire was reported to BPD. Berklee College of Music Police and Red Cross arrived on scene after the unit reported that 18 BU students were there.

Other Service Request Type at 15 Buswell St.

At 3:27 a.m. on March 2, a student reported possible drug paraphernalia outside their room door. 

Deface Property at 855 Commonwealth Ave.

At 9:03 p.m. on March 2, a BU employee reported that a party was tagging by a women’s restroom in the College of Fine Arts.

Well Being Check at 275 Babcock St.

At 10:40 p.m. on March 2, a Residential Safety employee reported an unresponsive party in the bathroom. Armstrong Ambulance arrived on scene and transported the party to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
