The Boston University men’s basketball team will travel to Corvallis, Ore. on Wednesday to play Oregon State University in a first round matchup of the College Basketball Invitational Tournament.
The Terriers will face OSU junior guard Calvin Hayes, who averaged 12.7 points per game this season and was an All-Pacific 10 selection. The Beavers are defending CBI champions, having defeated the University of Texas El-Paso in the final of the 2009 tournament.
This is the first season BU has been invited to the CBI, a tournament with a field of 16 teams. Selection is based on teams’ performances during the regular season with special emphasis on their play at the end of their schedules, according to the CBI’s website.
