Yesterday, countless Catholics celebrated the start of the Lent season with Ash Wednesday. We here at the ol’ Free Press would like to make some suggestions to others around this great campus and city if they, too, are to consider giving anything up until Easter.
- Boston should give up its libraries for Lent . . . or forever.
- School of Management should give up its tapestries for Lent in order to pay its electricity bills.
- Boston University should give up diversity for Lent, but no one would notice.
- The Olympics should give up trying to convince the world that Canada is not just America’s hat.
- Dean of Students Kenneth Elmore should give up Twitter.
- Student Health Services Director David McBride should give up his bowtie.
- President Robert Brown should give up his monocle.
- The College of General Studies should just . . . give up.
- The Daily Free Press should give up Interrobang because it just isn’t funny.
