The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Sept. 27 to Oct. 4
Four students were found smoking marijuana on a bench on Bay State Road on Friday at 2 p.m. BUPD issued a $100 citation to one male for possession.
A Girl’s Best Friend
A student reported that her diamond solitaire necklace was taken from her room ON Friday. The last time the student saw the necklace was on Sept. 26. The student does not have a suspect in mind.
Bust Bubbler
On Thursday, BUPD observed three males smoking marijuana from a water pipe inside a car. Police searched the suspects and found one man in possession of marijuana in multiple plastic bags for distribution. Police arrested the man and told the other two males to leave.
Got to Pick a Pocket or Two
Last Wednesday, a student reported that he placed his backpack on the ground next to a bench at 140 Bay State Road. The student stayed on Bay State Road from 8 &- 9 a.m. When he got up to leave, he noticed that his backpack was unzipped and his iPod was missing.
The Magic Meter
A student found a small bag of marijuana by a parking meter on 640 Commonwealth Ave. last Saturday. The bag contained less than an ounce of marijuana. The student called BUPD right away and the police confiscated the marijuana.
