Interrobang

The Daily Free Press may be cutting back on our Friday print issues, but by no means are we cutting back on our sense of humor. Our usual Friday ‘Ampersand’ satire is moving to Thursdays under a new name: ‘Interrobang.’ The interrobang is the mutant punctuation baby that comes into the world when a question mark and an exclamation point love each other very much, and we think it’s the perfect symbol to express our general outlook on news and life in general.

Love is in the air this weekend and this Valentine’s Day we here at the ‘ol Free Press want to know what everyone’s plans are for Saturday, whether you think the holiday is bitter or sweet.

Matt Seidel will be screwing the Union’s constitution by ignoring quorum and ‘getting down to business’ instead.

Shepard Fairey will be painting the town red, so long as he doesn’t get arrested again.

Chief Robbins will be using Send Word Now booty calls to get some ‘police activity,’ if you know what we mean.

Northeastern University mascot Paws will be tracking down Michael Vick so he can learn some real dog fighting skills.

BUPD will not be keeping their love locked down.

Mike Ross will be trying to figure out where you live ‘-‘- he’s got something for you. Something special.

The FreeP staff will be all alone on Valentine’s Day, giving ourselves paper cuts. Four lives. At least it’s a three day weekend?

  1. I’m bored at work, and just had the pleasure of reading not just one, but two FreeP articles that were surprisingly relevant and insightful. And now this! I’m a little sad to see the tried-and-true Ampersand go, but if Obama taught me one thing, it’s that bipartisan politics is just a pipe dream and in the real world, chickensh*t NH senators pull out at the last second like a senior on Prom Night. And if he taught me a second thing, it’s that change can be a good thing. Way to be Interrobang, way to be…
