One arrested in disturbance at Brookline 7-Eleven

At approximately 7:20 a.m. Friday, Brookline Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at a 7-Eleven convenience store at 870 Commonwealth Ave., according to a Facebook post from Brookline Police Department.

According to the post, customers reported an argument between a customer and a clerk at the counter. Following the argument, the customer displayed a box cutter. A struggle ensued between the two, resulting in injuries to the clerk. Customers then restrained the alleged assailant while waiting for the police to arrive.

Brookline Police Department arrived and made an arrest, according to a Brookline PD tweet, and the subject will face charges of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. This is still an active investigation.

According to the Facebook post, the clerk was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital by Fallon Ambulance to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.
