The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from Sept. 13–17.
Woman trapped in elevator at College of Engineering
A female BU affiliate was reported to be trapped in an elevator on the second floor of 22 Babbitt St. at 12:28 a.m. Thursday. The Boston Fire Department was summoned to the scene and successfully extracted the woman from the elevator.
Disturbance reported outside of Sleeper Hall
A resident assistant at 275 Babcock St. reported secondhand at 11:33 p.m. Friday that a group of about three to four males had been speaking in a “strange” manner to passersby while urinating on the grass. BUPD located the group and found them to be minors unaffiliated with BU. They were taken back to the station where they were released to their parents.
Suspicious person near 575 Commonwealth Ave.
A caller reported at 12:27 a.m. Saturday that a man in front of 575 Commonwealth Ave. who was headed toward Kenmore Square repeatedly attempted to pick fights with passersby. A BUPD officer checked the area but did not find the described man.
Adult man with gunshot wound at Boston Medical Center
A man entered 840 Harrison Ave. at 10:07 a.m. Sunday stating that he had been shot in the right foot the previous night. The man reportedly did not realize he had been shot until Sunday morning when he woke up to his foot bothering him. Doctors confirmed the presence of the gunshot wound. Both BUPD and the Boston Police Department were notified. BPD was dispatched to interview the man.
Discarded cash register found near 6 Buswell St.
A caller reported what they believed to be a discarded cash register in the rear of 6 Buswell St. at at 7:10 a.m. Monday. Detectives were notified of the incident.
