Campus Crime Logs: April 24-25

The following reports were taken from the Boston University Police Department crime logs from April 24-25.

Indecent Exposure at BU Beach

A caller reported at 7:06 a.m. on Monday that a man in a wheelchair was indecently exposing himself to students between 771 Commonwealth Ave. and BU Beach. Officers neither found anyone matching the description, nor witnessed any illicit activity.

Drone flying above Warren Towers          

A caller reported at 3:00 p.m. on Monday a drone flying above 700 Commonwealth Ave. Officers determined the drone was being used for work purposes and was operated by a BU affiliate.

Suspicious package left at BU Central

A caller reported at 4:33 p.m. on Monday that a purple backpack had been left at 775 Commonwealth Ave. The backpack was claimed by its owner.

Repeated harassing calls to BUPD

The BUPD received several prank telephone calls between 9:28 p.m. and 10:58 p.m. on Monday from persons claiming to represent the Harvard University Police Department and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Police Department.

Multiple 911 calls abandoned around campus

The BUPD received eight abandoned 911 calls throughout the day on Tuesday from Cummington Mall, Amory Street, Commonwealth Avenue, Buick Street and Beacon Street. At least one was determined to be accidental.
