The Daily Free Press hosted our first-ever student journalism networking conference this past April. We wanted to create a space for college students in Boston to meet and learn from each other, as well as gain new skills from media professionals in the city. Beyond building connections at The Next Edition, we offered panels about everything from digital engagement to beat reporting.

This year The Next Edition will be held at WBUR’s brand new CitySpace on Sunday, Feb. 24. We’ve expanded the scope of our panels to include more aspects of journalism, and we’ve added workshops to offer tangible skills you’ll be able to leave with. While you’re gaining valuable skills, you can connect with Boston’s top online, print, radio and broadcast journalists. If you’re looking to connect with student and professional journalists alike, stick around for the networking event at the end of the day.

Looking to meet local media professionals? Wondering how to take that first step into the industry? Want to get some quick tips about a different aspect of journalism? The Next Edition is the place to be on Feb. 24. We look forward to seeing you!
