At $59.99, a James Bond Ultimate Edition DVD package may seem pricey. But if you want to be able to watch every incarnation of world’s favorite spy in the comfort of your home, the masterful restoration and abundance of special features found in each Ultimate Edition are worth the extra cash.
There are four volumes of the Ultimate Edition, each with five movies featuring different James Bond actors and their corresponding special features discs.
The crowning glory of each special features disc is an in-depth look inside the making of each movie. These documentary-style features follow all of the aspects of production, from the writing of the script to the casting, special effects creation, shooting on location and current clips with Bond actors, including Sean Connery and many of the infamous Bond girls. Several interviews, including one with James Bond creator Ian Fleming are also included.
If you are looking to sizably increase your DVD collection, the James Bond Ultimate Edition DVD set is truly worth your money. New Bond fans should start with Volume 1 of the Ultimate Edition, which features Connery in the iconic Goldfinger and Timothy Dalton’s gritty debut in The Living Daylights.
