Yale researchers found people who drink sugary soda consume more calories in a day than those who do not consume the soft drinks, USA Today reported Monday. The study, based on a meta-analysis of 88 soft drink studies, found soda drinkers do not reduce calories in other parts of their diet after they consume the drinks and tend to gain weight, the newspaper said. According to the study, soda drinkers also consume less milk than people who don’t drink soda.
